Open House

Backus Mall (west side of Student Union)

The colleges/schools at Poly will each host activities, tours and information sessions from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Financial aid, admissions and housing information sessions will be held at 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. in Peralta Hall Rooms 130 and 145, and in Santan Hall Room 135.

General campus tours are available at 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. For campus tours, meet on Backus Mall by the Open House Registration Table for a foot tour.

Note: All visiting high school students and their families need to check in at the Open House Registration Table located on the Backus Mall, west of the Student Union, to pick up your open house packet and concert admission wristband.

The following colleges will be conducting tours to showcase their facilities:

  • College of Teacher Education and Leadership
  • College of Nursing and Health Innovation (The Wellness on Wheels [WOW] van will be parked in the ISTB3 parking lot)

Taste of East Valley

Technology Center Parking Lot

Support local restaurants at the Taste of East Valley. Samplers will be provided. Larger portions will be available for a nominal charge, so be sure to bring cash!

Admission to the concert is granted with a valid ASU student ID (ASU student plus one guest). For high school students who are invited to attend the Open House, you will receive a wristband when you check in at the Open House Registration Table on Backus Mall.

  • Only clear plastic containers are permitted in the parade grounds area

Maps/Parking/Shuttles

Parking
Parking for the Open House and other Homecoming activities on October 29 is free. Open House suggested parking is in Lot 37 behind the Agribusiness Center.

Shuttles
You are encouraged to take a regularly scheduled ASU shuttle, car pool or the Williams Field Road bus as parking is limited. Two additional shuttles will be available from the Polytechnic campus (Student Academic Complex {SAC} stop) to the Tempe campus (Gammage stop) between the regularly scheduled 8:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. shuttles. The additional shuttles will leave the SAC stop at 9:20 p.m. and 9:40 p.m.

Campus Entrances
Enter using the west entrance to campus at Power and Williams Field roads or on the east entrance from Power and Ray/Sossaman near the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Event directional signs will be placed at both entrances. Note: Traffic restrictions exist along Williams Field Road between Loop 202 and Power Road. Please allow extra time for any traffic delays.
