About the Department of Nutrition
Nutrition has been, and will continue to be, in the public's eye. How foods affect our health is an important consideration for everyone, and for that reason, nutrition professionals will continue to be in demand.
If working in the nutrition field is your goal, the Arizona State University
Department of Nutrition located at ASU’s Polytechnic campus has many options for
you. We offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs that focus on all
aspects of nutrition, from dietetics to food and nutrition management to human
nutrition and nutrition communication. Students in our degree programs receive
a solid background in nutrition science that combines classroom theory with
hands-on application.
With a degree in nutrition your career possibilities are
wide open. Some of the options include becoming a registered dietitian, a food
service director, or entrepreneur in the restaurant business, working in the
pharmaceutical or food industries, or preparing for medical school, dental,
pharmacy or graduate school.
