The purpose of this program is to produce scholars who: (a) can enhance the knowledge base underlying curriculum and instruction in a variety of specializations, including areas of content as well as target populations; (b) have expertise in all levels of instruction, in the design, implementation, and evaluation of teacher preparation programs; and (c) can provide leadership to the study of curriculum & instruction by conducting research in physical education.
