School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation

Admission for Undergraduate Degrees

Freshmen

Freshmen students are admitted directly to the BAE degree program of their choice. Students work with an academic advisor to ensure completion of required ASU General Studies and Education Foundation courses prior to taking their Educational Methods courses starting their junior year.

Transfer

Transfer students are admitted as either Pre-Professional or BAE degree students, depending on the number and type of credit hours transferred. Transfer students that are ready to begin taking Educational Methods courses, must complete an additional application for the program of their choice as well as the application for admission to ASU.

The application packet should be submitted the semester before they intend to begin the professional program. Priority deadlines for application submission are:

  • February 1 for Fall Admission
