School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation

Advising and Registration for Undergraduate Degrees

Welcome to the School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation. This page has information that will help you make a smooth transition to Arizona State University. The School offers advising services to help prospective and current students with questions about degrees, the Polytechnic campus and Arizona State University.

Prospective Students

Many education students transfer from local community colleges. To ensure the success of transfer students, an advisor is available to meet with prospective students prior to their admission to ASU. Appointments may be scheduled for general program information, unofficial transcript evaluations, course selection recommendations and assistance with the program admission process. Call 480-727-1103 or email polytechniceducation@asu.edu to schedule an advising appointment.

New Freshmen

New freshmen are required to attend an ASU Orientation program to discover campus resources, learn about student experiences, meet with an academic advisor and schedule classes. Students unable to attend an orientation may schedule an individual appointment with an education advisor. Call 480-727-1103 to schedule an advising appointment.

New Professional Program Students

All students beginning a Professional Teacher Preparation Program (including continuing ASU students) must meet with an academic advisor prior to registering for their first semester of Educational Methods courses. Attendance at an Education Orientation is also mandatory. Call 480-727-1103 to schedule an appointment after your admission to ASU and the professional program are both complete.
