Don't Cancel That Class!
A Service for Faculty at ASU’s Polytechnic campus
This program allows faculty who are unable to attend a regularly scheduled class to call upon their colleagues to present one of several workshops. Recognizing that learning occurs both inside and outside of the classroom, all of the sessions are geared toward the academic and personal success of students. Faculty members can request a presentation if they will be absent due to a conference or other engagement, or simply in response to a need observed within the class.
The program's objectives are to:
- expose students to information that may
increase their success during their university
career and beyond;
- increase the retention efforts of the university
by giving students the tools necessary to succeed
both academically and personally;
- help students understand the benefits of a well-rounded
educational experience, including
participation in co-curricular activities; and
- increase collaboration and expertise among
members of the Polytechnic campus community.
