The On-Campus Experience

Residing on campus is about more than just having a place to stay: It's about finding a place to LIVE! You'll invest thousands of dollars in your education in tuition, books and fees. As a result of these investments, you'll gain a new range of career options upon graduation.

Living on campus is a similar sort of investment. The friendships you'll make, the additional opportunities for interaction with faculty, the convenience of being walking distance from classes and student services, the choice of social and fitness amenities - all contribute to the value-added experience of living on campus. Few choices you make in college can offer so much in enhancing your college experience as living on campus. Do you want to just go to class or are you going to college?

Single Student Housing Options

Housing for single students is sorted into two groups: traditional-age freshmen (18-19, recently graduated from high school) and all other single students. Freshmen housing is separated from the rest of single student housing in order to meet the unique needs of students as they transition into college life. Freshman housing at ASU's Polytechnic campus is part of the Freshman Year Residential Experience (FYRE) program, a living-learning community designed to enhance the success of students in their first year of college.

Housing for other single students is provided in two areas. Our upperclassmen residence halls are composed of one residence hall on the south part of campus (Palo Blanco Hall) and two halls on the north part of campus (Mustang and Phantom Halls). Alternatively, houses, which can be shared by two or three students, are also available in the south part of campus.

Family Housing Options (click here for new family rates!)

Housing for students with families is available in three separate villages on campus.  Houses range in size from 2 to 5 bedrooms and include internet, cable television, and water.  Community playgrounds and picnic/BBQ areas are located in South and North Desert Village.  Faculty and Staff of ASU and the Maricopa County Community Colleges are also eligible to reside in family housing.
