Williams Campus Housing Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the resident government body for students living in the Residence Halls. As a resident, you are already a member! A portion of the activity fees collected from each resident is allocated to RHA, which allows the organization to host programs, sponsor philanthropy events, and build community.

Citizenship

RHA works closely with Williams Campus Housing (WCH), our parent organization, to relay resident input. RHA serves as the official voice of the residents, and uses this voice to work toward residential improvement.

Achievement

RHA promotes student development and works to give residents leadership and networking opportunities, such as local, regional and national conferences. RHA also works actively to promote educational opportunities in and around the Residence Halls and Villages.

Engagement

The RHA is made up of local hall and village representatives; RHA Committees work on residential projects, collaborative campus events, and community service projects. Current committees include:

          • Recycling Task Force
          • Spring Fling Committee
          • Parents' Weekend Committee
          • Relay for Life Committee
          • Leadership Development Committee
          • Take Back the Night Event Committee

Get Involved!

RHA is an exciting organization with plenty of levels to get involved. For more information about upcoming meetings and events, contact Jon Marple at (480) 727-1702.

The Sun Devil Way: Achievement, Engagement & Responsibility

Understanding that it is a privilege to live on campus, ASU has set the expectation that students will be active participants in their communities. For the 2008 fall semester, we are soliciting a minimum of 20 community engagement hours per student.

This is a win-win proposition for students:

  • Studies suggest that involved students are higher achievers and are more likely to graduate from college;
  • Community engagement is an excellent resume booster;
  • Participation in service-oriented projects fulfills scholarship requirements and allows you to give back to your community;
  • Involved students will get priority status for housing renewals for the next academic year;
  • Being an active community member is FUN and makes the most of your college experience

So, start thinking about how you would like to get involved; this is an opportunity of a lifetime! To get a jump start, download the required form that you will turn in at move-in, by clicking HERE.
Welcome to ASU!
