Sports nutritionist to speak at ASU’s Polytechnic campus

MESA, Ariz. -- Serious athletes worried about nutrition and diet won’t want to miss Eat to Compete: Nutrition for Recovery and Hydration, presented by Dr. Jackie Berning, March 5, noon to 1 p.m., at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus in the Health Sciences Center Room 1423.
A registered dietitian, Berning consults with the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Indians and is a member of the U.S. Lacrosse Safety and Sports Science Committee. Besides her numerous scholarly publications, Berning has served as an editor for Nutrition for Sport and Exercise and co-authored Training Nutrition. Berning is active in SCAN, a dietetic practice group that specializes in sports and cardiovascular nutrition, and she is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.
