College/Department/Program Brochures

Logos and Word Marks

On the cover of brochures, you have three options for logo usage, which are:

  • using the Polytechnic campus Endorsed logo;
  • using the ASU sunburst logo or one of the approved ASU signatures (sunburst logo and word mark); or
  • using the Polytechnic campus word mark. This design may be used either vertically or horizontally and in any of the color combinations shown. It should not be placed adjacent to the ASU logo or ASU word mark, and it should not be used with the Polytechnic campus Endorsed logo. For guidance in proper usage, contact Public Affairs at the Polytechnic campus (see list of phone numbers above).

If the words Arizona State University are plainly used in the brochure titling, only the ASU sunburst logo is required.

Colleges and Schools with deans are eligible for Endorsed brands (logo combined with college/school name and the university word mark). When an Endorsed brand is used, a separate ASU logo is not required on the front of the brochure.

The approved Polytechnic campus design and samples of usage can be found on the Polytechnic Logo Usage Samples and Word Mark Usage Samples pages.

References in Text

You do not need to put "Polytechnic campus" on the cover unless:

  • your unit name is identical to a unit name at another ASU campus, e.g., Parking and Transit Services, Student Health Services, etc.; or
  • your program/event could be confused with a similar event on another campus.

For all other brochures, the reference to the Polytechnic campus will be made through the descriptions of programs, and a description of the campus will be provided on the back middle panel.

Web Sites

Logos and Word Marks

All Web pages should have the ASU sunburst logo and word mark, which automatically is included in the approved Polytechnic campus "header." Since the header on each Polytechnic campus Web page contains the ASU sunburst logo and word mark, the Polytechnic campus Endorsed logo should not be used on Web pages.

References in Text

Follow the Campus References guidelines for referencing the campus in your text. Public Affairs and Information Technology at the Polytechnic campus provide the official campus Web template for use on all www.poly.asu.edu sites.
