Humanities and Arts offers two bachelor’s degrees: History and Culture, and Literature, Writing and Film. Click on each degree name for more information.

B.A. in History and Culture
The B.A. in History and Culture degree program encourages students to develop their historical awareness, and their ability to use historical knowledge to make informed decisions. Students can choose from six program tracks:

  • Archival Preservation and Digital Media
  • Environmental History and Culture
  • History and Culture of the American Southwest
  • History and Philosophy of Science and Technology
  • History and Public Policy
  • History for Secondary Teachers


B.A. in Literature, Writing and Film

The B.A. in Literature, Writing, and Film degree program offers students the opportunity to develop their skills in professional, academic and imaginative writing, as well as their interpretation of literary and non-literary texts and critical thinking. Students can choose from six program tracks:

  • English for Secondary Teachers
  • Imaginative Writing, Literature and Digital Publishing
  • Literature and Film
  • Pre-Law
  • Writing and Recording Family History
  • Writing for Special Purposes
