ASU's Polytechnic campus Student Health Center

ASU students with a valid ASU student ID can take advantage of the many services that the Student Health Center offers.

The Student Health Center is located at 7153 E. Thistle, corner of E. Thistle and S. Sterling, north of Talon and Eagle Halls. There is signage to identify the building and a parking lot near the entrance of the building.

A family nurse practitioner and medical assistant are available five days a week, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A doctor will be available at the center once a week during hours of operation.

    • All full-time and part-time ASU students are eligible for medical services.

Fees

There is a small fee for all who use the Student Health Center. Laboratory tests, x-rays (not offered on ASU's Polytechnic campus), immunizations, physical examinations and some office procedures require additional charges.

Women's Health Care

Women's health care services, provided by a qualified nurse practitioner, include pelvic exams, pap tests, diagnosis and treatment of vaginal infections and sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy testing and sexual counseling.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is not required to use the Student Health Center. However, it is strongly advised for all students and is required for international students. Information regarding university endorsed student health insurance is available at the Health Insurance Office at the student health facility on the Tempe campus. Appointments

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. For inquiries and appointments call: (480) 727-1500. A qualified family nurse practitioner is available from 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any ASU student in need of health care is encouraged to use the Student Health Center.

Emergencies

In any emergency, medical or non-medical, dial 911. The nearest hospital for medical emergencies is Banner Baywood Medical Center, 6644 E. Baywood Ave., Mesa, (just west of Power Road between Main and Broadway) (480) 981-2000.
