Division of Computing Studies

Why Pursue One of Our Degrees?

Professions in the computing field are listed among the fastest growing occupations in the current decade. Our graduates enjoy employment in fields such as:

  • digital design applications
  • computer and software engineering
  • distributed Web-based systems
  • embedded systems
  • network administration

Our educational mission is to make sure each of our students feel that they have:

  • been well-advised and treated fairly by faculty and staff,
  • achieved a grade appropriate to their feeling of success in the class, and
  • learned new skills that will improve their future in the computing industry.

What does it take to earn a degree?

See the information at Degree Programs.

How Do I Pay for It?

We realize that paying for a university degree is an important factor in your upper-educational decision. That is why our department offers numerous opportunities for students to gain financial aid.

  • The Division offers a limited number of Teaching Assistantships to graduate students on a semester-by-semester basis. Visit the Division for more information.
  • Many of our computing students, after acquiring in-discipline knowledge, find part-time employment either within ASU or with local industry. For example, many ASU departments seek students with Web-application capability.
  • Financial aid is available in various forms. Please visit ASU's Polytechnic campus Student Financial Aid page.
